IonHub Multi Charger: Value in the Utility

--- Customer comment
Dear Ionhub: When I received the unit from you I was disappointed by its unattractive appearance (to me at least) at the first glance. Once I started using it, however, I got quickly hooked by its utility. In addition to its convenience, it is so light and user friendly. The reason I bought IonHub is that I have an iRiver MP3, a Zune, a Sandisk Sansa, and a Zen V in my house (sorry Apple, no iPod!), plus cell phones, portable games, and DVD players. For my family travel with (or lack of) the AC adapters of those portables was a nightmare. Talking about travel now, I do not even have to bring the AC adapter for my Norelco shaver any more because Ionhub has a charging tip, too. Who’d have thought of including that in a charger? I can certainly live with this little black box for its usefulness. In short, Ionhub multi charger solves a real problem for me. Thank you!

Battery-Dead iPod: Will or will not Charge?

Here are some test results on a few old/dead iPods over the weekend.
Tested: Four iPods: two 2003 iPod 15GB and two 2004 iPod Mini.
1. All above mentioned iPods were completely battery depleted and not responding to computer USB charging. None could be turned on. The USB charging cable is verified functional with a brand new 3rd gen iPod nano.
2. Each responded to the IonHub when charger tip iT-371 was plugged in and it started charging immediately.
3. Each took over 6 hours to charge fully.
4. One Mini could be charged now with its original USB cable after recharged by IonHub.
5. All other three can not be charged by their original USB cable via computer anymore.
6. All of them can be charged by IonHub charger.
7. In each the battery run time is not as long as new but still respectable. For example, the 2003 iPod 15 GB can run 6 Hours with max volume output and > 8 hour with 1/2 volume, given this is a four years old unit.

If you have more cases out there, we would appreciate if you could test and share with us your results. We welcome all contributions!
